How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: Delete Through the App (Recommended)
- Open the CC.AI app on your device
- Navigate to Settings (usually accessible from your profile or menu)
- Go to Account section
- Select Delete Account
- Read the warning message carefully
- Confirm the deletion by entering your password or following the confirmation steps
- Your account will be deactivated immediately and scheduled for permanent deletion
Method 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app or need assistance:
- Send an email to xfaizanjatt@gmail.com
- Use the subject line: "Delete CC.AI Account"
- Include your account email address in the email
- We will process your request within 7 business days
- You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is initiated
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:
- Profile Information: Username, display name, bio, and profile settings
- Account Identifiers: Email address, user ID, and authentication tokens
- Personal Data: Age, gender, preferences, and customization settings
- Chat Messages: All conversations with AI bots and other users
- Bot Interactions: Bots you created, edited, and interacted with
- Story Sessions: All interactive story sessions and progress
- User Messages: All user-to-user messages and conversations
- Social Data: Follow relationships, followers, and social connections
- Uploaded Content: Avatars, profile images, and uploaded media
- Activity Data: Energy usage, levels, experience points, and achievements
- Preferences: Theme settings, font preferences, and app customizations
What May Be Retained Temporarily
Some data may be retained for legal, security, or compliance purposes:
- Billing Records: Transaction history and payment records required for financial compliance and tax purposes (retained as required by law, typically 7 years)
- Security Logs: Fraud prevention logs, abuse reports, and security-related data (limited retention period, typically 90 days)
- Encrypted Backups: Encrypted backup data that may contain your information (rolled off within 30 days of account deletion)
- Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage data that cannot be linked to your account (retained for service improvement)
Deletion Timeline
Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you cannot log in or access your data.
Within 30 Days: Full data purge completes. Most personal data is permanently deleted from our systems.
Extended Retention: Some data (billing records, security logs) may be retained longer as required by law or for fraud prevention purposes.
Alternative: Clear Data Without Deleting Account
If you want to remove your data but keep your account, you can use these options:
Clear Chat History
- Open the CC.AI app
- Go to Settings → Privacy
- Select Clear all chat history
- Confirm the action
This removes all message content but keeps your account, profile, and other data.
Delete Specific Content
- Delete Individual Conversations: Remove specific bot or user conversations
- Delete Bots: Remove bots you've created
- Delete Story Sessions: Remove specific story sessions
- Update Profile: Modify or remove profile information
Before You Delete
Consider the following before deleting your account:
- Export any data you want to keep (if export functionality is available)
- Cancel any active subscriptions to avoid future charges
- Save any important conversations or content you want to preserve
- Note that you cannot recover your account or data after deletion
- You will lose access to all premium features and purchased content
Reactivation
Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be reactivated. If you want to use CC.AI again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
